Gallery Gloom was born out of an artists dream to be their own boss. Dedicated to the many people who have felt left out of the crowd. With superior quality clothing, unique collections, and wicked designs, there is something for ever misfit out there. Original artwork inspired by life events and stories of Raelynn Glasner.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bio
My name is Raelynn Glasner. I am a 24 year old Canadian Artist, from Warman, SK. I was originally inspired by the store chain "Spencer's". How chaotic it seemed, but also managing to catch your attention at every turn. How pop culture, creepy, horrific, cute, sexy, funny, and down right dumb items could be all in one place. I was hooked!
I am originally from beautiful Kelowna, B.C.. Like many others out there, I come from a broken, low income home. Raising 3 girls alone, one year apart from each other, my mom started a day/night care center in our home. My grandparents wanted a good education for their granddaughters, and helped my mother send us to private Christian school from Gr. 3-12., Christian camps, and missions trips. To put it bluntly, I came from a different world then my schoolmates.
This isn't a sob story though. From all that trauma, grief, confusion, and pain I found myself in my artwork!
I hope my artwork resonates with you, especially if you are going through a rough part on the path of Life. My ultimate goal is to make a mark on this world with art that makes people truly feel each pieces message. To build a community of people who never felt like they belonged, to feel those deep emotions, and use them to build yourself up again.
